Obituary of William Edward Hooper

William Edward Hooper, 82 William Edward Hooper, (Bill), 82 of West Orange died Sunday August 21, 2016 at his home surrounded by his loving family. Visiting will be held on Friday August 26, 2016 from 5-7 PM at the Dangler Funeral Home of West Orange, 340 Main Street West Orange. A Funeral Mass will be held on Saturday August 27, 2016 at 10:00 AM at Our Lady of Lourdes Church 1 Eagle Rock Avenue West Orange. Interment will take place at Gate of Heaven Cemetery 225 Ridgedale Avenue East Hanover, NJ. Donations may be made in Bill's name to Our Lady of Lourdes Church 1 Eagle Rock Avenue West Orange, NJ 07052. Letters of condolence may be posted at danglerfuneralhome.com. Bill was born in Newark and was a lifelong resident of West Orange. He proudly served in the United States Army during the Vietnam War. Bill attended Our Lady of Lourdes Grammar School, Seton Hall Prep and he received his Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Administration from Seton Hall University. Bill was a Commercial Insurance Agent and had a long standing career with a local Insurance Agency. Bill was a member of West Orange Elks BPOE 1590, Our Lady of Lourdes Holy Name Society and was a former member of Essex County Country Club. Bill was the devoted husband of Mildred " Millie" Hooper married 56 years. Bill was the loving father of Elaine Trusio and her husband Michael, and Nancy Hooper, cherished grandfather of Michael, Lauren and Emma Trusio. He was a devoted uncle to many nieces and nephews. Bill was also the dear brother to the late Jack and Margaret Hooper.
