Obituary of Theresa D. McDonald

Theresa D. McDonald, 87 Mrs. Theresa "Terry" (nee Flanagan) McDonald, 87, of West Orange, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, August 3, 2016 with her loving family by her side. Visitation will be held on Monday, August 8th from 2–4 PM and 7–9 PM at the Dangler Funeral Home of West Orange, 340 Main Street, West Orange. Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday at 10:00 AM at the Dangler Funeral Home, followed by an 11:00 AM Funeral Mass at Saint Raphael's Church, 345 East Mount Pleasant Avenue, Livingston. Interment will follow at Gate of Heaven Cemetery, East Hanover. Terry was born and raised in Newark, and lived in West Orange for over 50 years. She was a devoted and loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. Spending time with her family is what she enjoyed the most. Terry was the wife of Thomas V. "Vince" McDonald, a former West Orange Police Sergeant who predeceased her. She was the devoted mother of Patricia and her husband Idrees; Thomas and his late wife Paula; John and his wife Christine; Kathleen; Theresa Anne; Christopher and his wife Carmen; and Charles and his wife Eileen. She is also survived by her 17 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren. The family would like to thank her caregiver Marian for her kindness, compassion, and companionship over the years.
